Policy Analyst, Clean Vehicles Program, Union of Concerned Scientists
Daniel Gatti is a policy analyst for the Clean Vehicles program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. Gatti’s work is focused on efforts to reduce emissions in the transportation sector in the Northeast region, through electrification, efficiency, and clean fuels.
Before joining UCS, Gatti was the executive director of the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters. He also co-founded and served as executive director for Climate XChange, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit advocating for carbon pricing, as well as the Massachusetts Campaign for a Clean Energy Future, a statewide coalition of organizations working to put a price on carbon. Prior to that, Gatti directed the Get Off Oil program for Environment America, where he helped lead that organization’s efforts to reduce oil consumption and oppose dirty fuels, including leading efforts to increase vehicle fuel efficiency and stop tar sands oil extraction, and helping to launch the Charge Ahead California campaign to increase access to clean cars.
Gatti earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, and a B.A. in political science from Guilford College.
