Robert B. Millard is the 11th Chairman of the MIT Corporation, as the Institute’s Board of Trustees is known.

Mr. Millard is also the Co-Founder, Lead Independent Director and former Chairman of L-3 Communications Holdings in New York. In addition to serving as L-3’s lead director, he is a director of Evercore, an international investment bank.

Mr. Millard is a current member of the Council on Foreign Relations and he is a fellow at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.  His Nonprofit board memberships have included The New School, the Population Council, the Remarque Institute, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and The Mannes College of Music and various other non-profits.

Mr. Millard holds an SB from MIT and an MBA from Harvard University. He is a resident of NY and Boston, married to Bethany Millard, and has four children.
